Flash Clip

The paper clip is one of the greatest inventions of all time. It is simple, sleek, one smooth piece of metal.
And yet, it has been improved. By Arman Emami.
It is a flash drive AND a clip!! It was designed for Verbatim. They come in a variety of colors, and hold 2-4 GB. I don't see any prices yet. But, keep a look out for Clip-It.

Traces + Logo

This is my logo design for the indoor gardener, seen in previous posts. I used the symbol for Shinto (Japan), the feet of the tree frog (Costa Rica), and the top of an ornate cross (Italy).
Not only with the shapes did I derive an image, but also with the names/words. I call it CRINKY. get it

Given my obsession with watches...

I must post this:
Core77 posted about the latest in WATCH SAFES.
However, Issey Miyake's Fuseproject-designed VUE watch, soon to be launched, eschews the safe by neatly hiding it within its very packaging--in the form of a tear-off notepad.

I have a watch collection, only 2 are really expensive, but if I ever get a spare chunk of change in my mansion, this seems to be a perfect addition.

New Fave

Looks like I have a new favorite graphic designer....
Heard the name before, but never really checked out his work extensively.
This may be silly, but, James Victore is the shiz.

I rediscovered him because of the arrival of his new book, "Victore or, Who died and made you Boss?" (which is $40).

He's got illustrations and catchy slogans. All with this horror comedy, that I am constantly attracted to. He mainly does poster, but also dives in surfboards and watches and book-covers.
He teaches at the School of Visual Arts.
I needa creep dat.

Stem Garden Notes

Branding Research

Create a 100 word (in total) series of bullet points, listing the results of research you do into the current state of branding. Use the web as your source and do not use any source more than 2 years old. Credit sources and use links and Images.

---------

Summary: All the indoor gardeners I found online have similar, boring shapes. They are box-y, tupperware-ish, and unshapely for something that is supposed to be decorative and attractive. An indoor garden is meant to be appealing, and it shouldn't just be the flowers and plants job. The container should help! That's why I choose The Stem Garden; it's unique style and shape (like a flight fixture) is functional and funky.

Research:

We see what Quirky has to say about the new "Stem Garden." Other items like this:

Gizmodo isn't saying much about this, only a couple sentences and the main event--these pictures. (CLICK)
